The Anglesea Main Beach is perfect for kids to paddle safely between the flags in the shallow sheltered bay, lifesaving patrol is on duty during the summer or head to Point Roadknight a long sandy safe beach for all the family to enjoy.  Easy waves for learning to surf are plentiful.  Take to the water for a gentle paddle in a canoe down the Anglesea River or test your balance on a stand up paddle board. Paddle boats are available for hire - you could even race your family down the river!


There are some beautiful walking trails through the Anglesea wetlands where kids can enjoy seeing the ducks and listening to the popular Pobblebonk frogs creating their own natural symphony! In Spring (Sept-Nov) visit the Anglesea heathlands when the wildflowers are in full bloom, stroll the easy 3km trail and spot some of the beautiful rare orchids.


Playgrounds are the perfect place to expend pent up energy the ever popular Coogoorah Park on River Reserve Road has a big pirate ship, swings and slides. Near the entrance to town you can’t miss the Lions Playground or the Riverfront Playground known for its large tyre swing. Still more energy? JUMPZ Anglesea has huge trampolines with spring-loaded frames, allowing kids to bounce even higher the squeals of joy are a testament to the excitement and fun had here!
