WALK ON, WALK OFF!
You choose! The Surf Coast Walk has 12 sections stretching from Point Impossible to Fairhaven. Sections 6, 7 and 8 begin from Anglesea. Section 6 is a rugged trail taking in the spectrum of coastal colours – vivid ochre of the cliffs, brilliant blue of the ocean and dappled green of the heathland. Along the way, you might spot kangaroos and hear native birds playing out their improvised soundtrack. Among the low brush forest, look for wild flowers putting on a spectacular spring show.
The mid-point of the Surf Coast Walk is Anglesea. Connecting to Torquay via Eumeralla, Point Addis and Bells Beach or Aireys Inlet via Point Roadknight and the beaches.
The great thing about the walk is it can easily be done in shorter sections and it’s all so different there is a different adventure at every step.
ANGLESEA RIVERBANK

ANGLESEA HEATH
The 7.3km Anglesea Heath section spans Anglesea to Point Addis, taking in a year-round rainbow of spectacular ochre cliffs, deep blue ocean and lively green heathland.
POINT ROADKNIGHT
Take the 3.1km walk up and over the hill from Anglesea to Point Roadknight for panoramic views back across the township, river and ocean – making every step worthwhile.
