ANGLESEA PERIMETER WALK
Let’s loop the loop! The Anglesea Perimeter walk (APW) showcases amazing landscapes around Anglesea, meandering through windswept heathlands and healthy woodlands surprisingly close to the Anglesea village on the Great Ocean Road in Victoria's south west.
The APW connects many named tracks together. It’s signposted with the Anglesea Perimeter Walk logo throughout, so you’ll always find your way home. What an adventure it is to follow the APW through parts of the Great Otway National Park, the Anglesea Heath, Great Ocean Road Coastal Committee reserves, private land plus Surf Coast Shire reserves and parklands.
Tread lightly – you’re in an extremely environmentally sensitive zone. Respect the land by sticking to the track and not leaving any rubbish behind.
Starting point: Anglesea Visitor Information Centre
Distance: 22.6km (or 2 x 11km loops)
Time: Allow approximately 7 hours for the whole walk or 3.5 hours for each loop.
Difficulty: Moderately easy depending on exposure in extreme weather. A moderate level of fitness is required.
Track conditions: The track surface varies and includes gravel paths, 4WD tracks, fire breaks and bush tracks. We recommend you wear walking clothing and equipment, and carry water with you.
